  • Bills of Lading: Drafting and advising on bills of lading, electronic bills, liner bills, multi-model bills and way bills of lading.
  • Charter parties: Drafting and revising bareboat, charter parties, contract of affreightment or slot charter, time or voyage charter.
  • Cargo Claims: Attending to a wide range of cargo claims, including: bulk cargo, containerized carriage, general, grain, oil, perishable cargo and special cargo.
  • Collisions: Our team handled numerous collisions and sinking cases that took place in the Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea such as the cases of the two ferries Salem Express and Al Salam Boccaccio 98.
  • Customs: Our team consists of qualified attorneys who provide legal services in the field of customs dues cases and customs smuggling cases involving the carriers and cargo interest; concerning either cargo smuggling without settlement of customs dues or smuggling of cargoes bearing counterfeited trademarks and matters related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This department also attends to matters arising from the application of different customs regulations, and matters between cargo interest, forwarding agents & freight forwarders and the Customs Administration.
  • Ships Arrest: We have vast experience in dealing with the procedures of the conservatory and executive arrests placed on vessels. One of our specialties is handling the distinctive and short-term proceedings before the Judge of Urgent Matters and the Court of Execution.
  • Ship Finance and Sale & Purchase: Our advice includes matters related to ship finance, sale, purchase, leasing, mortgage and registration of ships both nationally and internationally.
  • Transportation: With the advances in multi-modal transport, we have evolved to provide legal advice to our clients on many issues including: breach of contract, insurance, cargo claims, documentation sealing breaks, and the theft of cargo and containers occurring on the sea, road, rail, or in the air.
